Edson Beckett

Photography and Graphic Design Instructor
Edson Beckett was named the 2009 Flagler County Teacher of the Year and 2010 Flagler County Artist of the Year. He has been an instructor of the arts for nearly 30 years, the last 24 spent teaching at Flagler Palm Coast High School. He currently teaches the advanced digital Photography courses, the Graphic Design courses and Advanced Placement Art, which is the highest level of any art course offered in the state curriculum. Additionally, he is an instructor for the Flagler County Adult Education Program, where he teaches digital imaging with PhotoShop, including retouching and restoration techniques.

He also works with local artists on how to digitally photograph artworks for digital art show entry. In addition, he is an exceptional graphic designer, creating logos, mailers, book covers, and the like for local businesses.
His students, both present and graduated, have won numerous prestigious art awards, prize money and scholarships. His students entered 22 art shows or contests last year alone, and last years seniors earned over $200,000 in scholarships to art schools. Over fifty former students are now practicing professional graphic designers or photographers and reside all over the country, including Orlando, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Texas, New York City, and even London, England. For the past 17 years, he has photographed weddings, families, sports, and senior portraits. He also enters his own fine art photographs into art shows, recently securing a solo show at the Hollingsworth Gallery in Palm Coast.

Crealdé School of Art
Rick Lang is known as a photographer, educator and curator. His photographic work has been exhibited throughout the Eastern United States, including solo exhibitions at Middle Tennessee State University and The Center for the Study of Southern Culture at The University of Mississippi. His work has been collected by numerous public and private collections including the State of Florida. Rick’s is work published in two books: We the People…of Orange County and Small Town Orange County. He has been on the faculty at Crealdé School of Art since 1989 and has served as the Director of Photography since 1995. Rick has taught at Valencia Community College and Daytona State College. He has also taught numerous workshops. Rick has curated photographic exhibitions shown at Crealdé School of Art, including A Shared Legacy: Documentary Photography of Florida from the 1930’s and Today, a survey of documentary photography of Florida (2003). Rick is well respected in the photographic community as represented by the number of times that he is asked to either judge art competitions or lecture on a wide variety of photographic subjects. |

Editorial and Fine Art Photographer
Luke Bhothipiti is an editorial and fine art photographer based out of Central Florida and a graduate of the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies. Luke has spent several years establishing and refining long exposure techniques which incorporate not only still life and landscape, but also portraiture.
His work has been recognized and exhibited by the Southeast Museum of Photography, Southeast Center for Photographic Studies, Floridian View Magazine, Gawker Media, JPG Magazine, Nikon, and The Macallan. |
