Meets three consecutive Saturdays in November from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. November 3rd, 10th & 17th.
Please note: This class will require travel. Locations to be announced.
Practicing long exposure photography is a great exercise for individuals who want to perceive the world in new ways. Learn how to blur and soften the motion of water, to elicit dramatic effects and reveal shadow details, and capture the paths of stars as they trail across the night sky. Although advancements in image sensor technology have made shooting in low-light or nighttime conditions a far more successful undertaking, the practice still requires a studied approach and the application of specific techniques. Learn to understand (and expect) the difference in results between a 30 second and a 30 minute exposure and take your photography to a new whole level. Under guided instruction, learn to bracket within a range of exposure times and for various outdoor conditions, to understand focus options and the potential use of flash, as well as to apply the optimal ISO settings to reduce image noise.
